CURRENCY. Made in Italy since 1875

The history of Moneta is a fascinating journey that begins in the heart of Milan in 1875. Since its birth, Moneta has embodied the Italian tradition of artisanal excellence, growing to become a leading name in the kitchen industry. By the 1920s, Moneta products had already crossed national borders, conquering international markets with their unparalleled quality.

In the 1960s, Moneta revolutionized the culinary world by introducing the first products with non-stick coatings, an innovation that transformed the way people cook all over the world. This pioneering spirit continued to guide the company in the following years, bringing it under the aegis of the Alluflon group in 1986, a step that further strengthened the brand.

Moneta's dedication to quality was established in 1996 with the rapid adoption of international quality standard certifications. In 2008, Moneta once again set the pace in the industry by introducing ceramic coating, creating a new product category that has redefined the expectations of chefs around the world.

2015 was a watershed year with the launch of the patented Finegres and Protection Base coatings, while 2016 saw the Nova series receive the prestigious Home Style Award, recognising Moneta’s innovation and design.

Never resting, Moneta introduced the Artech Stone Ultra coating in 2018, bringing a touch of nature to nonstick performance. In 2020, demonstrating its commitment to sustainability, Moneta launched Recy, a line of cookware made from 100% recycled cans.

Moneta’s latest innovation was in 2023 with the FineGres coating, a natural and sustainable formula that continues to protect the environment while offering excellent performance. Moneta’s history is a testament to its ability to innovate, reinvent itself and remain an industry leader, continuing to inspire cooking enthusiasts around the world.
